Dehydroisoandrosterones also known as or androstenolone,is a hormone produced by the body's adrenal glands.The body uses Dehydroisoandro to make androgens and estrogens, the male and female sex hormones.DHEAS is the most abundant circulating steroid hormone in humans and it functions predominantly as a metabolic intermediate in the biosynthesis of the androgen and estrogen sex steroids. secretion begins during fetal life, reaches a peak in the third decade, and declines steadily thereafter; the level at age 80 is only 10-20% of the peak level.
